This repousse' pin is beautiful. It looks to be made of copper. It has a wonderful warm patina to it. I have a phenomenal book of early historical photographs taken of the North American Indians, the THE NORTH AMERICAN INDIANS  by Paula Richardson Fleming & Judith Luskey. The photographs are riveting, disturbing, & thought-provoking.

Could these profiles be of the infamous Apache  Chief Geronimo? A similar profile is found in the book mentioned above of Wolf Robe, a Southern Cheyenne. Here are the photos from the book.
